I take quality of bars over quantity of bars… Tsu Surf won the battle for me but I understand if people think its debatable or give the edge to Conceited because he had an insurmountable amount of punchlines.. it really comes down to a matter of taste but Tsu Surf took it because he had the one of the craziest second and third rounds which included him spazzin on Conceited’s character, background, and street ethics
Some of my favorite bars of the battle slightly decoded:
Conceited is always seen as the flashy, pretty boy out of all the battle rappers and Tsu Surf questioned the importance of placing so much emphasis on your looks and the consequences of doing so, a consequence could mean actually looking like money but being broke or just looking like a walking target —- "Them same old G’s that taught me never change when you winnin’ said just cause he look like he get it, don’t mean he got it. The one’s that usually have it, you never really could spot it and the ones that flash ain’t got enough or they dumb so they don’t hide it. .. . Question, If all your money is on your outfit then what the fuck is in ya pocket?"
Conceited claims to be from Brooklyn, NY and Tsu Surf makes a claim that he is actually from Miami but he not from Miami either.. it is said he is from Pembrooke Heights?.. point is.. you can claim as many hoods as you want or create an alias to support those gun lines but if your life does not match the bars then what you rap no longer matters.. if you rap about a life you don’t lead or a hood you never grew up in then all of your raps are questionable and lack validity…—- "What good is Bars on top of Bars, if ya foundation is lies?"
He did what he had to do in the streets for survival not a reputation —- "You know nothing about what you rap about, that is not G and that hater that told you about me, that is not me. Why you paying so much attention to a life that is not free? I don’t glorify shit cause if I ain’t get them, they would have got me."
